Keolis employs 58,300 people in 16 countries, over 3 billion passengers worldwide have used one of the shared mobility services offered by Keolis.

Hamad Group is a diversified group active in construction, real estate and trading, both in Qatar and on international markets.

ABOUT US

RKH Qitarat is a joint venture between RATP Dev, Keolis and the Hamad Group. French public transport operators, RATP Dev and Keolis, bring global expertise to metro and tram operations. At the same time, Hamad Group provides local knowledge and contributes to developing domestic railway capabilities and industry in Qatar. RKH Qitarat operates and maintains the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram. RKH Qitarat’s client is Qatar Rail, the state-owned railway company responsible for rail transport in Qatar. Established in 2011, the company leads the design, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance of the entire rail network and systems.

With a solid history of demonstrated improvements in on-time performance at other agencies and global experience with implementing programs and best practices to ensure the highest levels of fleet maintenance and vehicle appearance, RKH Qitarat is delivering and maintaining a state of the art transport system serving Qatar.

Doha Metro

  • Three lines each able to carry more than 8000 customers an hour in each direction
  • The red line opened in May 2019
  • The gold line opened in November 2019
  • The green line opened in December 2019
  • Speeds of up to 100 km an hour
  • One of the world’s fastest driverless networks
  • 37 stations and 110 trains, each with three cars
  • Operating on 76 km of track

Lusail Tram

  • Four lines planned Orange, Turquoise, Pink and Purple
  • Orange line opened in January 2022 with 7 stations, above and below ground
  • 28 trams, with 5 cars
  • One tram replaces around 40 cars on the road
  • Once all four lines are open there will be 28 km of track
